Picture Perfect
The essence of what we wish we could be
Slender, manicured, sun-kissed tan, ruby red smiles and fame
Living the Perfect Life
Plastic
Behind the camera and the airbrush
The smiles are painted, her body gaunt and skeletal
And still she's told "You're not good enough"
One more meal lost won't hurt, right?
Revelation
Looking in the mirror, disgusted with what she sees
This horrifying seleton painted up like a doll
This is beauty?
Author notes
Yeah I really don't know what this is.

Wonderful work…you address some very real issues here…there is way too much emphasis on appearance…though I can understand feeling that way myself…I guess it’s just the world we live in. I like the flow of the lines here. Nice imagery, too.
Thanks for the entry!

This has a lot of truth for today's society. Most girls are always trying to be like a Barbie Doll these days. They quit eating and want to be skinny and very rarely do you see girls accepting themselves for who they are. This was a great write. Keep up the great work. ;D
