In My Garden Alone

With anticipation for Winter to be the past,
to enjoy all color Spring starts and quite vast.
I put out an array of tranquility,
a different type of bud for serenity.

Our Lord had walked the Garden of Gethseme,
I believe we have a lot more to enjoy you see.
I have three crosses where the Easter Lily bloom,
along the side is the birdbath...
my feather friends will be here soon.

Pentas, Salvia and Cockerbells scattered around,
to lure the hummingbirds, just hear their sound.
Daisies, Orange Marmalade, Petunias, and more,
I love God's creation to come and enjoy the allure.

The Purple Rose of Sharon perfumes the air,
I prune like He does to show His love and care.
Wonder God how do you make beautiful flowers,
my Peony's green cover the ants devour.

How they bud and produce so a bumble bee can come,
not paying attention to me as they collect nectar and hum.
Hello baby swallows up in that nest in the house,
also the squirrels  dance on the roof, or is it a mouse?

Thank you Lord for the flowers and everything,
for the porch to sit on to watch them all performing.
Amazing how it is the same ones visiting daily,
the butterflies remind me of prevailing.

I join the praying mantis with my hands together,
the tree frog lingering on the post even in stormy weather.
Walking and talking to whatever many times during the day,
Last stop my pale pink roses, the thorn depicts the one who prays.

    Simply Stunning

I am in complete awe here. I have to admit I read your poetry sparingly when I need a pick me up and this one did the trick. I fail to appreciate the spring with the bees that sting all the little knats flying around those flowers. I usually love fall more. But this work of art shows that beauty lies in everything that our God creates if we just sit back and take notice. I'm overwhelmed right now with joy, lonliness happiness sadness. So many emotions from your words were stirred inside of me. I love the line of the butterflies showing prevailing. Even though I'm a man I compare myself to the butterfly for that exact reason. Thank you Denerica for writing these beautiful words and helping me see life differently.

to lure the hummingbirds, just hear their sound.
Daisies, Orange Marmalade, Petunias, and more,
I love God's creation to come and enjoy the allure.'

You really capture the mood with these lines.

    A beautiful poem

Lovely words, wonderful sentiments.  As for constructive criticism, how could anyone criticise something so perfect? Visually very stimulating, one can almost smell the perfume wafting on the breeze from your flower beds. There is no need to analyse the title, it is perfect for the content. Thank you for sharing this with us.

    very nice

I think the words and ideas are well spoken. There is good rhyme I would work on the flow of syllables. The poem was a sort of choppy.
my personal experience of the content I get a wision like a painting of Eve in her garden, hair flowing, flaoting along among the flowers. I see Eve as happy in Eden only too open to curiosity. If she is like me she can not leave well enough alone

about beautiful flowers and visitors to the garden; it's what I read between the lines of someone caring and sensitive, and knowing humbleness enables enjoyment. Blessings, and Oh, congrats on the gold. Frans
