Each cloud a study in pictures
Mind running free I saw them all
An endless gallery of masterpieces
Subtle shades of blue and white
Painted a vibrant summer skyline.
Alas! Mere memories of a past age
When cloud wraiths roamed the sky
Sculpting each cloud into picturesque beauty
For all the world to see.
A grey visage remains, dappled in battleship colours
A dying monochrome canvas, empty,
No sculptures, no colours, just the barren sky
Of a water whipped world, lying beaten,
Lost, in a constant mist of lace teardrops.
A tropical nightmare of humid temperatures
Release sickly sweet scents to fill the air
Cloying aromas, from the rotted heath of a dying planet
A world spiraling into hell and destruction
This beautiful land forgotten in our fight against the elements
Our memories a tenuous link to the existence of mankind
