My Pockmarked Friend

My eyes have held you
and with one hand made you disappear,
heard your silence as night fell
and you laid upon the sea;

Though I’ve never  felt your pain
my pockmarked friend,
of imperfections
etched in your silvery face;

But neither have I  felt your power
to push a man to  insanity,
nor the pleasure to draw to my breast
both lover and bounding sea.

    But you have a powerful pen, my friend. I love that last stanza. The imagery throughout the poem is very strong.

    This write flowed well. Some how I could not sense your message. I am a bit lost on this. Do not get me wrong it is a good write.
