Sable

Dark sable isn't mourning black,
it's richer, softer, tells apart
and slips easy into shadows -
they aren't true black, they're
deeper - and velvet sable:
it still is mourning
but we're doing it in style.

    welcome to allpoetry

I am curious to know what the inspiration for this was... the obvious or some other random thought or feeling. An interesting piece. I like the richer, softer, deeper descriptions. Maybe a double meaning in there somewhere or I could just be seeing things as I write.
