All Strings Attached

Now watch me dance
as you pull the strings
Your whims manifest through me
for I am your puppet

I’m yours and you’re mine
Others think I’m a fool
and I just smile
Now watch me dance

Dancing, dancing, dancing
Then you try to shelf me when you’re done
I know you better
and I know the things you do

Feel the beat and dance with me now
Sway with me, dance with me
as you watch my eyes
Falling into my rhythm, my soul

I don’t care if you don’t want me
‘Cause your mine, my master
And I’m yours
Your faithful puppet

The audiences clap at our performances
You, sitting and staring off into space
Me, dancing and moving your wrists with a smile
No more fooling around, together forever

  • Simply Beautiful

Very simple and yet so full of vision. I like this one very much. One can simply place themselves within this and understand.

I really like how it was a puppet-master relationship, but there were still instances when the puppet was driving the couple, deftly wielding its own strings and manipulating the puppeteer.

    GREAT job
    diggin it majorly

I liked this a lot. You really captured the relationship of the puppet and master here. I liked the line where you said that the master was the puppet's, just like the puppet was the master's. Brilliant work and good luck in my contest!
