Hazel Brown's

Gentle tapping on the screen door,
Eyes lying upon each other,
There first true site of one another,
Youth’s recognition,
Liquid blue eyes watching her beauty,
Hazel brown’s taking him all in,
Stiff chat, lot’s of laughs,
Just one thing after another they discuss,
Romance is pulling its curtain,
Colliding with the strangers,
Who took a chance,
For true love.

After love comes passion,
But sometimes her hazel browns watch him walk away,
She pulls her clothes back on,
Turn’s her back to him,
Sitting on his computer and whispers,
‘He’s the best you’ll ever have’,
Starring at the wall she prays he’ll love her more.

Smile painted onto her face,
He paints it for her,
It’s not a fake,
He has no clue what she’s beginning to feel,
Heartbreak after heartbreak,
Yet his jokes are slowly mending the wounds,
Slowly his word’s whisper to her deep cuts,
Her wrists are clean,
But underneath,
The part he can’t see,
He’s putting her together,
His liquid blue eyes watch her,
Never thinking he could be,
Saving her from the one who hurt her most.

Liquid blue eyes gazing upon her reddened face,
She fights the tears,
The fight she always looses,
Trembling with past pain,
Sobbing with future abandonment,
Hazel brown eye’s begging the liquid blue,
To love her enough to stay,
To love her enough to fight to stay with her,
Her hazel browns know, this would be the last heartbreak,
She could take.

Hazel brown’s taken aback by his innocence
Never had he even kissed a girl
But this magic he had over her
Could not have been just learned,
He knows what to say,
But she will soon learn,
Every boy has some learning to do of his own,
Some days he’ll let her down,
Some days he won’t show her how much he loves her,
Yet she will stand strong,
Hazel brown’s gazing up to the liquid blues.

Porn stars hidden away not so well,
Right on the desktop,
She sits and with her hazel brown’s she figures out,
She wants to look like a porn star,
For him to love her,
Judging herself,
Peeling herself image to pieces,
Her small boobs,
Her ass that’s as flat as she wishes her heart rate to be,
Is she enough for him?

Liquid blues,
Hazel browns,
Liquid blues smiling,
Hazel browns tearing up,
‘You ok?’ he asks,
‘Better than I ever thought I would be,’ she smiles,
‘I love you,’ he whispers,
‘I love you too,’ she sighs happily,
Arms wrapped around each other,
Ready to fight back there wars,
The past comes in and out of there life,
Yet the future is always present,
The current is always the judge,
And they will hold each other through judgment.

Author notes

A bit long sorry but I had to get it all out. The first paragraph is from the past, the second the present, the third the past, the fourth the present and so on and so forth in that order. I just wanted to mix my type of writing up a bit, and it turned out to be more of a happy love poem, than about the pain love causes so that I'm happy about. It's gotten a lot better.

This a really good story as well as a great write and I really like how you set it up 1st past, 2nd present, 3rd past ect, I think that was a really good idea.
    My favorite part is
"Slowly his word’s whisper to her deep cuts,
    Her wrists are clean,
    But underneath,
    The part he can’t see,
    He’s putting her together,
His liquid blue eyes watch her,
    Never thinking he could be,
Saving her from the one who hurt her most."
again I like the whole poem, but this is my favorite part, good luck in the contest!

You painted the picture well. For tears slowly glide down my cheeks as my lips curl up in a smile. This was extremely awe-strucking. Your words are magical and the mixture was outstanding. Thx for the share.

  • Wow

Such a story. The one thing I would suggest as the girl seems so unsure of herself. Never look down upon yourself. Improve yourself whenever you can but never look down on yourself, for there are plenty out there who judge at a glance and the true person you are underneath the mask is worth so much more than a moment's judgement.

  • I loved this!! I really liked how you mixed the past and present together. Great write there! And thank you for entering my contestt.
