Bunny Bunting's Day Out

Billy Bunting had a plan
to ask for sweet Betty Lou's hand
that they might marry come the spring
he even had the perfect ring!

Betty Lou didn't hesitate
she started planning, she couldn't wait!
Come spring did Betty Lou Bonet
become Mrs. Billy Bunting that day

Soon thereafter Betty Lou shared the news
the doctor confirmed her body's clues
that soon, it seems,  their little family
would grow from two to at least three

So was born Bunny Boo Bunting one night
To her parents world she brought such light
So well behaved as she grew and grew
Headed for greatness, everyone knew!

Then one day Bunny sat her parents down
said "You know that gal that has been coming around?"
The shook their head and wondered why
Bunny was talking about that girl that was shy

"Well the truth of the matter may be hard to accept,
but with this girl more than once I have slept
and I do not mean this platonically
our love for each other has set my soul free!"

The parents sat stunned not knowing just what to say
On this, Bunny Bunting's Coming Out Day
but they still loved their girl, no matter this or that
so in conflicted silence they sat, and they sat.

Bunny and her lover, Bonnie  by name
that very same day moved in just down the lane
Began living life for the whole world to see
even discussed ways to add to their own family!

The people did whisper and say things out of range
and all of them wondered at this life that seemed strange
But the lesson to learn is that love has no doubt
and love Bunny has had since her Day Out!
