I dare not...

I dare not
to write about love
love has never been so kind to me

                                                      but

Oh! how beautiful appeared to be
                                                 my secret thoughts
to just have a chance to taste
                                                 with you this loving tenderness
and let it linger upon my lips
                                                 while sacred waters of
                                                  heaven mix forever..
                                                  boundless emotions

                                                                                  fed within...

My heart has fallen in love
but my words

still appear to be just
scribbles

upon empty pages
from trembling hands
that always
admired resilience...
Yet I sit still
awaiting for his freshness
to fulfill my lips

                                                                                Until then...

I am just another prisoner of this world

Wow. Wow. This is amazing. That last line was a brutally powerful ending to a beautiful and heartbreaking poem. Congratulations on your silver trophy, can't imagine why it wasn't gold.
    Write on.

  • Breathtaking! The concrete form adds so much depth to the poetry. There is love chalked all over this writ! Beautiful! Ever so clever is this poetry. I am nearly at a loss for words and that is a strange feeling for me. LOL Congratulations! A well earned Silver Chalice adorns the beauty of these words.

    Much Love ♥

This is so amazing like anything you write. I really feel this poem deep in my heart. I allow my life to be ruled by love but sometimes the one true love is so elusive. The one thing most of mankind longs for is oft the hardest to find and hold.

This is wonderful poetry, just builds and builds until that end line blows you away with its power. If english is not your first language, it is unnoticeable here, I loved this, it's a golden moment to me C

I like the layout - you have reservations about the love presented to you, then on the other side you want to love with abandon, you go back to the original side, then conclude in the middle.
    Pretty background too!

It feels old, but the good kind- the 1800s, red lipped, corseted, restrained emotions kind. Like a woman who can't let herself fall- but she did anyway. It's very good.
