I may have lost the two of them,
one in midyear, the other later on.
Friendships have a time and season
and, in a strange way, I wonder
if they were ever friends.
One lost bizarrely to Facebook,
the other over something said
at Christmas, that time of intensity.
Author notes
I feel I haven't said this quite the way I wanted to. In spite of my saying that maybe they were not truly friends, I miss them.

yes friendship has a time and season..very true..and universal truth you can say..just very beautiful work you did..thanks...

I hope you haven't lost them forever. This has a very good opening two lines that immediately makes you curious. Friendship is a strange thing as without a blood connection their line is more easily severed. I also like how you reference Facebook and Christmas. It brings a reality to the situation. This is sad and thoughtful but, most importantly, a good poem.

Just hated those something needed to be said, but your words are truth here, how easily and quickly it could happen. Blessings.

You have shared ...
of something that needed to be said, and reflection of this nature is an indication that perhaps you are working on resolve. Be at peace, for your acquaintances may be doing the same! IMHO ... j

Yes
It would be nice if it wasn't over but I think patience is what I must concentrate on right now.

This is a good write. Came strictly from your heart, and it shows.
Nice work, and good luck in the contest.
