Thank You Lord

Thank you lord for bring me Kenny
A kind and gentle boy unlike many


He runs and plays with me all day long
To him I’m everything, I can do no wrong


He sneaks me into his bed every night
After mom tucks him in and turns out the light


I love him lord and I know he loves me
A happier dog there could never be


As I lay me down to sleep I pray the lord my soul to kept

I am cuddled against his feet, now lord do I get a treat

    LOL that was so sweet. At the start, I wasn't too sure if Kenny was the boy or the dog at first, but that's really well written -

    Love the prayers that were going through the dogs head, and the photo itself is so cute!

    Oh, Doolie. This is so sweet and what a wonderful picture to top your poem off. I love the way you had the dog saying his prayer and thanking the lord for the little boy. You really made it sound so much like what a dog would probably think. now....Give him a treat! lol!!!!!!!!!!!! The very best in the contest.
