I am watched
[They're waiting.
Watching.
Waiting.]
By silver eyes
[Feral eyes.
Wolf eyes,
in my mind.]
My life...
it's made up of silk,
taffeta, sparkling diamonds.
[So shallow.
So... insignificant.]
I stretch my fingers towards
light...
I dream of unicorns
[Galloping,
galloping.]
And magic.
and...
[It sets me free.]
But those silver eyes
[Those hard,
metal eyes]
Restrain me.
Hold me back.
I can't touch the light.
[I'm being pulled back]
And those dreams
[Those silver lined dreams]
Are washed away,
into an ocean -
by a metaphorical ocean.
[They're slipping through my fingers.
Away...
Away...
I'm back behind bars.]
Metaphorical ones, of course.
Back to silk.
Back to taffeta.
