I wonder can I really do the impossible?
Can I get you off my mind..
for good this time?

I'd give everything I've ever had
and everything I've become
to look at a guy in passing
and not see your face.
To see his smile..
his eyes..
his mannerisms..
Why do I see yours?

I see that little smirk you'd give
as you'd tickle me til I screamed.

I see your gray eyes shining,
smiling at me in that knowing way.

Can I do the impossible,
and move those memories to the back of my mind?
Can I live day to day without your presence haunting me?

    yo, i like how you used the title and i think this is very relateable to a lot of people. i like the last line the most just because i related to that the most . thanks for joining my moresome.

    I love this write. I've been here too many times, yet, I've learned that as the days pass, you'll forget slowly, maybe one thing at a time, until you're finally over it. You will always have the hurt, and you're always going to miss, but you'll realize that it just wasn't meant to be at that moment in time.

    Oh Angela... don't be ridiculous.
    You can't get James out of your mind if you're still such good friends with him!
    Of course the only way to get him out is to get him out of your life and I'm sure you wouldn't do that. And you shouldn't.
    Also, just because he's on your mind doesn't mean that that's a bad thing, you should just learn to have him there in a different kinda way.
    And only time can teach you how to do that
