Papered across the void~
torn trust, once solid,
now the fragile entity
drifts aimlessly in
helpless submission.
Crafted with careful hands
the facade of reason
shaken often
never destroyed
totally.
Frustration permeates
even the quietest of souls,
shaking even the most resolute
of intentions
creating self doubt.
Forgiveness, ever elusive,
just out of grasp
to butterfly fingers
or should that read butter fingers?
Redemption perhaps
at the final parting
or the whispered words
of Peter at those pearly gates.
