to be at peace
     is all I ask

to silence the noise
     within my mind

to walk my path
     unhindered
          alone

to be accountable
     for my actions
          no judgement

a monochrome existence
stained only by sin
     my life’s blood

fading to

Wow
My reaction to the prompt would have been Emtpy Halls.
Looks like my apartment building. When you're walking in
these empty halls and encounter a fellow traveler both always say
"hi" or "hello". After they've passed it's just empiy halls again. -c
