Nightmare of You

Nightfall slides into a haze,
My eyes glass over ready to spill.
Everybody's fingers point at me,
Left with a void no comfort can fill.

Daylight slides into shadow,
The sky fades dark blue.
Nothing to comfort me in the dark,
But the same nightmare of you.

I'm drowning in shadow,
Wading through the pain.
I can't block out the screams,
I wish they'd forget my name.

I know they all blame me,
But there's nothing I can do.
I know they all blame me,
But I'm trapped by this nightmare of you.
