The Word Between

Traveling the course of a world
…to the end of calibration
I’m sure there is a simple word
spreading purpose for durations.

Awareness of death
deepens knowledge of life.
dwelling upon death…
wastes and weakens life.

I am not sure
if it should end
here. Perhaps
there really is
no end...

only love.

Very nice piece with so much to think about. Life and death are so close sometimes, it is hard to tell which is which for some people. I do like your style in this piece and how you brought it all back to love, which in the end is all we have left when we move on. Well done indeed.

    Cool poem

I like how you brought in the idea of love at the very end-
    "Perhaps
    there really is
    no end...

    only love."

This is a thought-provoking write- it made me think much about how we should always embrace life..and death- that death is a natural process of life- as natural as life itself. Yeah. But like what you said, so many of us "dwell[s] upon death…
    wastes and weakens life."

    This is fantastic!

Thank you so much for your entry and all the best to you!
