Let me walk

Missing image
Dear God

Let me be bird
just this once
to soar from
insecurities, where depth
known is not pain
but lived as expansions
of hurt caused by my inability
to love with Love
those nearest to me.

I long for this journey
selfish as it may be,
where flight brings Lightness
and silence sky’s Peace.

Lord

I cannot even wish to be bird
even if I so badly want this
I cannot think the colour of pure
such as in white
perfection as in creation
only heart
as black in human shape.

Dear God

Give me peace to walk
rather than fly towards you
on a journey of the Self
where your promise to Instruct
and Teach will hold my each step
as I know that You
will Counsel me
with your Eye upon me.

Lord, I take this promise
and soar into flight.

To soar from insecurities and fly away like a bird is a human yearning, to walk away is an ability we can develop & master. Thank you for your thought provoking prayer this morning, Frans.

    Dearest Poet ...

there is NOTHING that uplifts so completely as reflecting on the promises Divine. In Rom. Paul said that the Holy Spirit will Instruct and Teach us Itself; God also said His strength becomes evident within weakness. I so loved how humble you are in your yearning to soar, and in the wondrous way you concluded this poem, being revitalized and uplifted by the Guidance of the Omnipresent Lord.

Well done. You indeed uplifted also this reader by an apt reminder.

Thank you for being a dear friend!

    Love
    Myra
