"Fib"

Not
then,
but now
I see you
with unbiased eyes:
I recognize the pattern of
your pretense:
fragile,
doomed
love.

Author notes

A try at the "stacked fib" (fibonacci sequence: 1/1/2/3/5/8; stacked is a sequence and then back down: 1/1/2/3/5/8/5/3/2/1/1).

Wow, I am almost certian that if I find another write of yours in english that ghost will conjure from my memories and materialize before me.
It is almost as if your muse is a medium for something long pass away in my world.
I am sure it is all only chance coincidence, but it feels quite surreal in the way you convey so much in your simple yet unbound writting style (at least in english).

You have no idea how similar your words are to great changing point in my life.
You would be even more surpised at the chance coincidence of it that relates to your birthname

I think this is a super fib! (As in a type of poetry - not as in "lie"). Actually, I think you both have a point. We are very often too close to the moment, which prevents us from seeing clearly. But the problem with retrospect can be that there is regret, nostalgia, or a similar emotion affecting our vision. Where is the balance?! I'm sure if we knew the answer to that question we'd have made a lot less mistakes already and put ourselves through less grief already....
Great job, Emol! I loved it. Encore

Never heard of that form, but it sounds fun, I might try it. Thanks for the link.

"Not then but now..." isn't that how it always seems to be, we are too close in the moment, only in retrospect can we get a clearer view...if we ever do, I wonder if we ever really see anything but what we want to see?

I have been unlucky in love but lucky that those who ceased to love me were not duplicitous people, but by nature. I have no real bad memories of those I have loved...so far, lol

    Thanks, I liked it.

      Thank you!
I wonder too .... at first I thought seeing in retrospect was seeing clearer, but later I got a sneaking feeling that it's really just seeing with a different bias.
I just discovered the fib myself. It does seem like a lot of fun, kind of like putting a puzzle together. If you write one be sure to post it!
And ... I wish you luck!!
