I made me a bird

Oh God!
I made me a bird
bless me to fly
towards my love.

A pure white dove
it was I made,
to bring her peace;
softly feathered
for her to hug
to her breast.

Cooing the message
of love I taught it
to bring to her.
I pray she will
treat it tenderly,
with loving care
as, ere long, will I
treat her
when we are
together again.

    This is a really simple and lovely piece. You don't have to use so many big words to get the point across.
