Anayan The Fearless

Missing image
Long long ago skies were azure, pale in the beautiful land
Essab-land.  Until their God/Sire fell in love with two very
precious females. One born to be his Queen, the other one
a mighty warrior named Anayan. Skies getting darker, darker.

Rakinsha his wife was at his side the day his faithful servant Lyra
came with news of Syaphin returning from roving about
the planets, earth enjoying the pleasures of many women.

Lyra was the one in charge of one of his many armies; trust-
worthy gruesome with bow, quiver of arrows. She was the
Goddess of elves. With some acute hearing and some pretty
pointed ears. A gift she would use well when Syaphin returned.

In the nursery The Queen was busy admiring her twins, and
still in awe of their rosy cheeks, pretty smiles and how much
her son could eat. Rekara her daughter, Ryver was the son.
Both so full of life she wondered how she gave birth to such
beautiful little creatures.

One day Ryver would be the next King/God in the land of Essab.
He was a find boy but still nursing his wet nurse Tabatha. He
wanted to feed every chance he got...and he was now
twenty-eight full moons in age. ( 2 yrs & 4 months)
Spoiled just like his father the King, yet his sister loved her
dolls and playing like a normal child.

Tabatha was getting older; her daughter was grown now
she prayed her milk supply would dry-up. Ryver feedings
were becoming beastly.

"Mother when will he stop draining your energy? Besides I
have news for you. I am with child. You will soon be a grand."

With that news Tabatha smiled..."I will speak with the
Queen on morrow after we break fast."

"Who is the father? Need I be concerned?"

"Nay mother! 'tis a man of my standards..a frowzy demi-god
but nonetheless a God mother"

Rising her voice..."Anayan his name"

"If thou must knowth all; tis only Pirato"

"My daughter he's half human"

"Aye mother we hath wed a fortnight ago"

"Ye knowth the King picked thee to be his second, he
will be pleased not."

"Mother I will leave, dwell on earth among my child's human
side. He's also a special child. Gifted with the spirit
of light and insight." turning now she smiled..."I love you
mother but I must go." Anayan hugged her and left.

Wondering now if this babe existence would restore
the light that was growing dim. Thus do away with evil.
Anayan set out and found her husbands grotto.
Knowing the entrance would be grotesque, and he
was a charlatan. Pretending to live as a animal.
She felt the protection was needed for her babe
until it was safely born.

Pirato could fathom not why she was here on earth;
but he loved her. So he welcomed his wife with a
smile, and sweet embrace. So Anayan stayed.

Time eased by, the mark on her belly grew darker. The time
was here betided surely anon. A twinge was all she felt;
before reclining upon the bed and indulging each push,
as he entered the world.

His father cleaned him up...swaddled him and gave him
to his mother. She was humming the baby Zithnil a song
Tabatha use to sing. Resting peacefully.

Then within the hour there they stood....Essab the King,
Syephin the evil one, and Lyra the Goddess of elves.

"Where is the child?" asked the Sire.

"Doth ye bare the mark of light?" asked the evil one.

"Aye he bares tis my son!" spoke Pirato.

"Is this true? Ye wed this human? His child?" frowning
now the King backed-up.

"Aye Sire; I love Pirato" spoke Anayan with love in
her golden eyes.

"Then the child is now a God" turning to Syephin...
"what hast thou to fear?"

"Naught Sire" with the eyes of serpent.

Yet Anayan trusted no one; not even her friend Lyra.
The king looked back and spoke clearly..." Ye art now banished
from Essab-land, clouds nearby, our heavens. A warrior ye
shall always be. Farewell."

Anayan smiled but she heard her mothers
heart shatter as she was set free.

Oh. This is a cool little story that you have penned in here. It was very fanciful and filled with imagination and both light and dark aspects to it. It kind of reminded me of greek mythology and the way they just have all these wild and crazy stories. You did a good job of expressing yourself here.

Very nicely told sweetie, and a good story. The jealousy of men [even men who are gods] oft betrays them, and leads them into bad decisions.

The king was right, however, to make a god of the child of light.

    Will there be a sequel?

    I love you,
    Brazos
