Darkness and shadows filled my heart.
My soul felt like it was missing a part.
Then like a blessing you came into my life.
A innocents with a will to fight.
Then they said your heart was too weak.
I start praying for the help I seeked.
Because when they said I would loose you.
I saw my worst fears coming true.
For if you were to leave me here alone.
My heart would no longer be able to on.
But by grace you made it though it all.
And now you are standing and walking tall.
I watch and guide as you grow.
Helping you become a man like in legends of old.
I know that the time is speeding away.
How I wish these moments would stop and stay.
I can look back with fond memories.
Because I know I was there when you needed me.
See fate has made it where I can not always be around.
But when you need love it will always be found.
Like everything I must let you grow.
Into a man that someday I'll have to let go.
For my child you shall always be.
And I shall give you a light for the world to see.
Love is a light in its own way.
And I will show you how much I love you everyday.
For I shall always be at your side.
Even if my body should die.
My heart and soul shall forever be with you.
And I hope to help guide you to a path that is true.
For life long blessings are what you bring.
And your sweet smile makes my soul sing.
But even though you are my child of light.
Don't ever back down and loose your will to fight.
