If I could but drop the mask
  To show the hidden heart

To walk then in the early light
Wearing the darkest part

The world hiding within my head
The thoughts I cannot share

The feelings known to me alone
Would then the world care

    This has a sad, lonely tone to it and touching as your writing always is.

    Its not good to hide yourself, it eats you from the inside when you do that. it could even be the death of you. I think you should try to find a way to get it out.

    John, a very emotional write. I must have said "If Only", a million times in my life. I think we all hide behind some sort of mask. A smile to hide the pain deep inside. A laugh to hide the hurt. We all try to disquise the pain and darkness in our hearts. Thats why I write. I let alot of sorow out in my poetry. I can really relate to your words. You take care. Hugs and Smiles. Always, Sandy
