The Great Wall

The wall we’ve constructed protecting our pride,
brings safety and refuge, a place we can hide.

It holds off our enemies, challengers, and foes.
The greater the threat, the higher it goes.

But, the wall doesn’t care to whom it defends,
it also keeps out our family and friends.

Another great bit of work that tell the reader something that matters. This wall is real and almost evryone has one that either shuts out their family or their friends. They don't even know it! Or they do not understand it. Great write my friend. RC

    Absolutely love that line!
'The greater the threat, the higher it goes.'

This reminds me of some really great lyrics.

'You built this wall around you. Who's around to help you tear it down?'

    Great song.
