Forever is no sacrifice
to a lonely heart,
forever is just suffering
for those who are apart.
How I long to touch you
through time so unrelenting,
weeping to the stars above-
the ears to my lamenting.
I know that you’re still out there
my heart can’t say goodbye,
somewhere you are waiting
beneath the same vast sky.
Maybe twenty lifetimes
before we meet again,
but even through the ages
our bond it shall remain.
Patience to be my virtue
on this long and lonely road,
as I journey down the path
where love once leapt and flowed.
So darling, I must leave now
set out for pastures new,
never to forget my vow-
I will always love you.
