Where Are You Now ?

From day one I was your little angel.
The most precious thing you thought you had.
You sat on your lap and spoke of heaven.
Telling gods stories and of the past.

But where are you now ?
Why cant I feel here?
Where are you now ?
Why cant hear you near?

I let years go by and took you for granted.
I never thought you would disappear.
Now I walk the world empty handed.
Reaching for someone who can't be there.

Where are you now ?
Why can't I feel you here?
Where are you now ?
Why can't I hear you near?

The day my world turned to darkness,
I fled there to be by your side.
I felt something wrong deep within me.
Your body was there but you were not inside.

Where are you now ?
Why can't I feel you here?
Where are you now ?
Why can't I hear you near ?

I know now that I'm no angel.
I see my life from a whole new view.
The god that took you to your home.
Put you here to teach me the truth.

I know your here now .
I can finally feel you here.
Your up above watching me.
I know that your always near.

Author notes

Hey I'm Sharaya. This a poem/lyric I wrote this after my grandfather passed away. He was a very religious man. He always was speaking of god and telling his stories. He never would have considered his self a preacher, but he saved many lives. He was always there for me. We were the closest out of him and all his grandchildren. I miss him dearly and wish every minute for just one more day with him. When he died it was hard to accept for me. I was a complicated teenager who was blind to what was important. I was late getting home from a friends house, knowing we were going to visit my Papaw. Since I was late, I never got to say goodbye he died on the way to his house. I want you all to never take someone for granted to always tell them you love them every chance you get. I wish I could tell my Papaw how much I love and appreciate everything he did. Have a nice day.
