Emotions Tipped in Red

My tongue clicks, as I move through this maze of life
My emotional wand keeps me on track
It swings, tapping the obstacles you know
Giving me freedom out on my own
But self limiting it is
My heart pounds at each corner, curb, traffic light
My blurred vision of life eluding me
Swing tap. Swing tap. What if I miss one beat?
You gave me freedom, I'm on my own
But dangerous ground, it is
My soul in peril, my white cane tipped red
I feel for the safety of strong arms
Instead find a wet nose and furry head
Tapping is not important right now
But a generous lick is
My God, my seeing eye, my guide through this life
My shoulder that leads me into safety
One tap, one step, obstacles disappear
Free at last to live not on my own
But with your help and guidance
Tap...tap...

    Incredible!

This piece is sooooo vivid in imagery that it is quite breathtaking and the message is every bit as stunning; for, indeed, we are stumbling and falling down blind without our Lord and Saviour. You, dear poet, are immensely talented, and what better way to use your God-given talent than for and to His Glory. Way to go!

    Love in Christ, BonnieQ

Wonderful illumination insight on topic in a literal sense. And literally true. Where but blind and helpless would a sightless person be without the wet nose furry guidance indeed!
