Sunlight splashes through the trees
Dancing over us as we run
Where we go matters not
Pushing onward in excitment
And our feet seem to never touch the ground
Suddenly the trees seperate
And we tumble in the grass, you and I
Laughing, young and carefree
Breathing in the fresh air
Resting in the softness of the earth in spring
As you lie sleeping
I breathe a silent prayer
"Please God, Please let this last"
Author notes
Yeah so this one is interesting considering the others I just wrote. The prayer should read "I wish this were real because it's not" lol.
Please tell me what you think

a good piece of poetry, smiles of love running through poetry's garden, let the light shine bright.

Oh dear !! You write of a youth I have long ago left behind, I would love it to be real. The boundless energy of youth immortalised forever.
