Liquorice mist dances around my peripheral
Slight touch sensations attempt to speak
Creeping invisible vines attach to my skin
Because I am far from home
Unawareness of reality teases me
A feeling of being lost overwhelms
and I am lost
Lost inexplicably
with no return...
I eventually understand
that the silent voices are key
They have me bound
in a stomach churning crypt
They love me
I cannot, will not reciprocate!
Wry smirk on it's face
letting me know I am free
but that it always has command
perhaps it did
until it met me!

Just a great take on the prompt, and so very well done! I love the flow and the twist at the end. Great to read!

Haha the ending is cute.
I understand this, at least I guess it's twistable to relate to me. And, you've followed the prompt well. I love that you've got some rhymes in here, placed very well indeed.
Thank you for the entry and of course, best of luck
