[Like going an important place, but
Not being able to remember the significance
Of the memory.]
Tonight is the final night d a r l i n g .
Our journey, the
Excruciating trip we have
Taken,
Is over.
Because I finally decided it's
(Definitely)
My turn to [sparkle, baby, shine .]
This time,
I'm going to fly .
I'll hurry my last words and
Pray to God that I find the courage to
Push through
Just take one more step.
The disappearance would seem to be just a blur
To everyone else, a slight
Crease
In time.
It wouldn't matter.
Tonight is the final night d a r l i n g .
And I feel refreshed, r e l i e v e d
That the determination has sunk into my hollow bones.
Hollow like a birds.
(I'm gunna fly away.)
Of course it hurts a little to know I'll never
Experience what could
Be.
The forests, the seas, the skies,
Hold endless possibilities
To add to our lives.
Like adding another piece to a treasured collection,
But now I'm choosing to
Lose every piece I've collected.
I'll grip on to the memories of life's beauty
That I can still
Remember.
I promise I won't forget the nights
When I walked the dark roads,
Waiting for a car to round the corner and
[Forget to brake.]
Oh, and when my l o v e r came
To find me, even when I couldn't
Find myself, [I'mnotgoingtoforgetthateither]
When I sat in the passenger seat, so close to
Him,
I felt warm. But I was so cold.
And I convinced myself that
He deserved better,
The "I love you"'s seemed
Almost like toys meant to be played with.
I wasn't ready to believe anyone could love me.
Tonight is the final night d a r l i n g .
Every time I think about this,
I shiver, one of those deep-down-to-the-core
Type of shivers (is that what dying feels like?)
This time, I'm going deeper than before.
I'm going to find out what is truly buried
Beneath my skin.
Perhaps ink so black that it stains my fingers blackish grey.
Or thousands of tiny butterflies, the beauty I found in life.
But what I want to find...
I want to find
Nothing.
I'll prove I have nothing left in me to lose.
No more reasons to
Stop.
No motives to take a step back once I near the line.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Blood flowers everywhere
On my skin;
Growing (faster, faster )
On the floor.
I am surrounded by rays
Of sunshine;
Or is it
Simpler?
The light
At the end
Of the
Tunnel?
I think I'm falling
Now.
I'm not scared
Anymore;
The stinging has
Stopped.
I feel
Cleaner.
This
Is
What
Dying
Feels
Like.

Holy shit Sarah your poems never fail to amaze me. And I mean it. You have gotten so good since you started writing. I can't even describe the feeling I get when I read them. You seriously need to WRITE for a living. Darling you could easily be the next Ellen Hopkins <3 much love. Never stop writing its a piece of you that defines you. Ily <3

i think this piece has great potential and is interesting, though i'm not fond of the subject matter. i find all of the spacing and brackets to be a bit distracting, you spelled "treasured" incorrectly, andi feel like the last lines are unnecessary and again, the spacing is awkward. but greatv potential. you have many good moments in here.

I'm speechless
this is I think one of your best
great job

-
This is awesome! The length is just right, with the beat and the topic just flowing greatly.
Amazing job and keep on writing!

-
Very good; I loved the length
one of your longer pieces.
very descriptive and well-understood.

-
So in my personal opinion this is one of your bests.
Its just so good.
