And a tiny porcelain doll,
long forgotten,
sat in a window’s corner
waiting,
watching rain fall on world,
remembering –
never being left behind.
And a tin soldier –
out of wars,
chipped and rusty –
still rugged
holding hopes and dreams
time deepened,
sought courage in hello.
She had always known –
her faithful guardian;
now handsome years
fading silk
found flickering flames
growing in his strength.
And the petals of a rose
blossomed on the lips
of a hero –
homeward bound.

oh my
This one has such a beautifully haunting feel..
Every word falling over me like pieces of someone's yesterday and your work on the image added to the mysterious, addictive feel of this piece. It was difficult to click away...a keeper
