Yes, it is hard when you lose a pet. Especially if you've really gotten attached to it, like it seems you did with this one. I am sorry to hear such a dreadful thing happened.

i'm sorry about your dog...such a sad happening...i so know the feeling...i had a dog named Shorty that died in 07...it made me cry...you can feel the emotion in this piece...thanks for commenting on my piece and adding me to your favorites...i hope that means you will read more of my stuff...keep on writin...it's good for you...

I get the sadness you mean in this piece. There are times, when our faviorite pet is the closest thing to a friend that we have. I had to put down my yellow lab in 2008. I'm still sad from that. Keep writing. Geo
