There you are, yet again, you just walk on by, that glint in your eye as you start to look at me reminds me of the pain, of the love, and I can see you still think about us, or maybe there was no us, how pathetic of me.
You take his hand in yours and grasp it tightly, and go up on one foot to kiss him, ever so slightly on the cheek, like you did with me so many times, thats when you do it, the thing I can't cope with, you look at me, your eyes so deep.
You try to smile, but you recognize that familiar, all too familiar, look on my face, and you look down at the ground, too quick for anyone else to notice, but i did, and i saw the pain in your eyes too, I try to convince myself I had to do it, but I just can't.
All I wanted was for you to be happy, don't you see that, how I sacrificed my soul for you, to let you and him be happy, just this once, we can never be just friends, we would always be so much more, so I had to go, to leave you.
Every night when I go to sleep I think of that night, of crying down the phone, telling you that if you still wanted him you had to be with him, no matter what you felt fo me. I wish I could change time, and tell you then that I loved you.
It's all too late now, you're happy, at least I hope you are, for everything I've done, I'm sorry, my final words to you tonight, are I'm sorry and I loved you, love you, goodbye my, I'll miss you so, try not to think of me, although I'll think of you every day.

amazing...
its strange, rarely do i read something that really gets to me, but this did. it was so full of loss and pain that i felt i could relate. everyonre loses someone but this was truly great.

this is very full of emotion. And its relatable to those who have been there.

Very beautiful, full of emotion and honesty. I know exactly how you feel, I've been through something similar myself. It's a terrible pain sacrificing your love so that someone else can be happy.
