Like strangers that meet, unexpected reluctance
As the clock ticks greedily, sounding backwards
Chiming life on and mellows the troubles
We expect time to heal everything
Yet it only moves forward and we are stranded
On our private islands we build
Surrounded by security, and always lonely
We stare at our fate
Cringe as wind touches our face
What is this then?
Life and time and such?
Are we not to share our burden
Only to have it tossed back again
When we are our weakest?
Then life becomes nothing
But a flash of light and color
Sounds fades and feelings blur
A body crumbles
And lovers have passions burn
Life does not notice us
We all die just the same
In the end, we become the same

please dont think i am patronizing but i cannot beleive that someone so young can pen such a take on life such as this, you must truely be an old soul, this speaks so much truth,
sounds fade and feelings blur
a body crumbles
and lovers have passions burn
life does not notice us
we all die just the same
in the end we become the same.
these are my favorite lines.

I think that the early troubles one goes through ages them in ways that make them see life differently. But it can be different how they view it, some for the worst, and some for good. Kind of like the "live-'n-learn" saying only we have to chose to learn from life.
Thank you for the wonderful comment!
