mermaid - a good splashing start here, humanity and fish merged together in smiles, it must have taken three years at least to get the atmosphere of the poem with the beginning.
enchantment - the second word is spectacular, it joins the first word with ease, sewing magical moments to it.
previous - and all that was before slips into history, to play with time in the garden of god.
life - such a wonderful word to accompany the others, this haiku is progressing nicely along.
forgotten - is all the time used to create this masterpiece, it is nearly complete.
rapture - overwhelming happiness sails along the heart's joy.
captures -and love and life is captured, with spledid ease.
all - a good ending to a fine poem.

Oh, thank you so very very very much!
This haiku was a challenge because I had to sit on the shore of a bay on an island waiting for the sighting of a mermaid. I became hypnotized by the waves and finally went into a mystical trance and saw a whole LOT OF MERMAIDS! Plus mermen. Actually, then I fell into the water at that point and woke up on the beach. I had a baby 9 months later and nobody believes that it was because of the mermen. The baby loves to swim and well, I won't say more because if the story gets out the media will drive me mad.

i believe you, the baby was a magical gift, i will keep it quiet though as you do not want your name in the local papers and then tv crews at your door.

Aye, and the mergirl wants to be on the swim team here and the coach might not think it fair for her to compete since she obviously has an advantage.
So do not say a word. She is a baby but she looks older. Mer people grow to adulthood very fast.
