Tonight I asked my friend the moon
whether I’d see you again
Tonight he told me it's not too soon
Never mind I said I’ll wait till then
Away I walked
coz I felt little blue
Then to the stars I talked
up there were some few
Tonight I asked my friend the star
whether I’d see you again
Tonight he told me not near but far
never mind I said I’ll wait till then
Away I walked
coz I felt more blue
Then to the grass I talked
down there were some few
Tonight I asked my friends the grass
whether I’d see you again
Tonight they told me long time but it'll pass
never mind I said I’ll wait till then
Away I walked
coz I felt little sad
Then to the tree I talked
hoping she’d make me glad
Tonight I asked my friend the tree
whether I’d see you again
Tonight she told me just wait and you’ll see
never mind I said I’ll wait till then
Away I walked
coz I felt more sad
The tree to whom I talked
did not make me glad
The tree the grass the star and moon
are whom I won’t be asking again
For I know my friend I’ll see you soon
and no matter what I’ll wait till then
