An Angel Kind

An Angel Kind

Kneeling before the marble throne I'm neither flesh nor blood, no longer mortal in the eyes of those I had loved.
strength be with me, and I am wrapped in his golden dress
I no longer revel in its beauty, nor drink from the dirty waters in darkness
Lusts of the mind in this world become less, though I shield my eyes from His beauteous starry smile, which reveal me in nakedness, on the other-side of the mirror where I long forsake this tattered mind.
He lets me weep and tells me ignorance is not for me, then He takes me up the white ivory stairs into the tunnel, streaks of ethereal gold and blue light the sky, "Do not be afraid" A female voice says out of a pool at the edge of the cloud, where she floats upon the air, her feet are dangling over the sky and she plays a golden harp.

Then the darkness begins to circle around me, and I realize that I had much darkness in life, as the demons remind me of the ignorance I provoked, they say they are not unlike angels but are there to guide the lesser beings into a more free kingdom, and that God is the new world, demons will play a huge part in the role of humankind's future, though the angels still command much of the world today and have many plans for humanity's futures.

Though their voices haunt me...though they speak through temperatures of hot and cold, wet and moist, I wonder why I had neglected them in this life, "Oh, how Must I change those ways in which I have betrayed you, my father." Then he said, with emotions so strong and kind I knew that I must have heard him, and somehow I was too young to acknowledge it, I felt I must have never existed.
"Though God, I was afraid I had never been born, for in birth I grew with suffering and pain." "My dear Gabrielle, don't be worried for you are before the King, and I will grant you your wishes, but there are some questions I must ask before you move on."

Without much hesitation, I replied "Oh father I am afraid!"

But the voice and the world remained still lightly blurred, and he spoke once more only softer, "Do not be afraid my child" I could see a tear drop from his eye. "You will be eager to join the choir, will you not?"

"Yes Lord."

"Gabrielle, the punishment is this. You must be a consort to the Kingdom of God and to be with the Army of Angels. Although this is not my final word....you may only interrupt me to speak." After some time of silence, I found the strength to use my voice though the words echoed in the stone where I was buried, and the pain of speaking hurt like one thousand physical needles.

"I would fight alongside your angelic army. Although I only must know the purpose."

Seek not what you may find, and you shall know my child soon very soon.

Then I cowered in my grave before the red darkness as he showed me a thousand suns with black mist encircling, "Be art my child, Gabrielle" "You are here, Gabrielle, in the thousandth sun, is this what you want?" Then he sprinkled stars into my eyes and the sand of sorrow....so that I may speak with more ease.

"I will be your messenger God, I will speak for the heavens and guard your gates, I will not betray my Oath to the Lord of the Heavens and Skies, Earth and Sea."

"SO be it."

Then the spell broke, I woke up in a small bed, the angel was there for moments more then he shape-shifted into my pet familiar and purred at my feet, and I knew then that my war had only begun.

hmmm. tis reads almost like a passage from the bible itself. intriguing.
i'm wondering though if you have taken your spiritual ideals to newer heights or almost zealotry. be careful of how strong you feel. it can be its own paradox.
