one night in autumn...
I had turned off the lights,
and went to sleep
and for fifty years…
I crawled through little
dark holes to empty places,
of once held dreams
and as I live among
old photographs
and favorite things
I can only imagine,
half smiles,
through...
a silent breeze
words-
you no longer …breathe

congrats
I really liked this. It echoed like an empty cavern.

devastatingly sad but beautiful

wow, I love this. Well done, you capture something that we're all trying to hold on to for who knows why. Impressive.

This expresses a sameness of feelings I myself become consumed with. This poet seems to be of "universal to all" abilities.A dark forebodding expression of thoughts that haunt the soul penned here.Feelings propel in the depths of sadness and loneliness.
