Alone In The Forest

Though not a mighty oak I still stand tall,
school of hard knocks gave me strength.
So many times near the end of my rope,
God came and gave me that extra length.

Sometimes felt completely alone in life,
to many burdens at times held me back.
Still struggle to undersdtand all the pain,
searching for the confidence I so lack.

Friends are unkind, loved ones pass away,
trying to deal with the hand life has dealt.
Though a life time of tears I was given,
still standing tall through the sorrow I felt.

No, not a mighty oak tree, a willow am I,
bending in a new storm life has brought.
Trying hard to stand tall once more friend,
as my dreams disappear with my thoughts.

    Beautiful verse

Think about the willow. A tree that bends in the wind. I guess we all have to b elike the willow. We can be an oak, with the help of God. Even the willow is nobel in its own way. Best of luck!

This has such a power to leave the reader with an image of strength to stand alone through the faith in God. The sorrow felt is accepted to be overcome as the winds of life leave one to stand and weave new beginnings
