A couple of days ago just before Christmas,
I was feeling sad because my daddy isn't here.
Mama and me were going to the park.
I asked if I could bring a friend and she said,
"that's fine with me."
I turned to the clouds and said,
"mama said it's okay you can come."
Mama became worried I could tell by her voice.
"Sweetheart who are you talking to?" She asked.
"Jesus", I told mama. He has something to tell us.
"You talk to Jesus?" Mama seemed surprised.
"Of course I do mama, you taught me how.
Did you forget?"
Mama said she didn't, but I think she did.
"What does Jesus want to tell us?" Mama asked.
So Jesus told me than I told mama.
"Worry not about daddy, he's with me doing fine,
he'll be very busy for a long, long time.
You can see his face in the clouds
every so often to know daddy is around.
You are a special child chosen for a purpose
of which you will not be asked to do what you cannot do.
Your Mama will be with you to help along the way.
Until her time comes to be with me and daddy.
One day you will join us all once again.
Know from this day forward we will be with you always,
all you need do is ask."
I thought that was the most amazing thing I had ever heard
in my whole entire life, though I've not lived very long...
Well mama never even pulled the car out of the driveway
she just kept saying,"thank you Jesus", over and over.
Then we both cried tears of joy. We went into the house
and even thanked Jesus for the hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Wow
This is really very good. I like the child talking to Jesus here and how innocent a child heart is that you penned in this poem. All the best in the contest, Michele
