I'm Gone

    I'm Gone

These lines grow old, they crack this place,

but truth be told, your mind embrace

and map your soul, the lines redrawn,

I'm gone.

She walk away from all the things,

but she don't care, she try and sing.

She breathe and sigh, exhale and yawn,

I'm gone.

He far away, he won't be found.

He see your face, ignore your frown.

It make him smile, he say "Right on,"

I'm gone.

She got her wish,

and she's gone.

Author notes

A response to a poem by a friend of mine, Samantha Okemow. Second-last line was from her poem, "I got my wish".
