So the flowers slowly turned to dust,
Crumpled to ashes as the dying moth.
The love notes and secrets shattered and brought the
Collapse of the heart-shaped chocolates.
The polka-dot dress and tuxedo pants wore themselves out eventually,
As walks on the beach just turned to... walks.
Hand in hand slowly turned to distance.. (separation)
All the diamonds in gift boxes couldn't even cut cold glass of boredom...
Loneliness.
The kisses lost their spark while embraces lost their warmth,
There is no safety in the arms of a former love.
Old photographs meant nothing, no longer depicted..
(What was that feeling?)
Dreams of white wedding and romance became desires for something more
(He couldn't give her more)
When love became nothing more than a
Simple, radical form of some lost affection,
Cupid gave up his arrows and the doves refused to fly.

I am in awe of this write...the title lured me in and the verse captured me with such depth and emotion.
Cupid gave up his arrows and the doves refused to fly.
What more could be said to define the death of love.
A very impressive write my dear...very impressive!

Your very best yet for sure this is powerful and deep, it explains so much, the love and everything, the death of feelings, the greediness of the fucking mind, the so called game for all the fucked up players...
