Teacher

You were my teacher,
In heartbreak and love,
I cried to you,
Like a mourning dove.
You were my teacher,
And I learned from the top.
But,
You taught me how to love,
And never how to stop.

Ok, at first, I thought I wouldn't like this poem, because of the length and the first few lines, but I read the last lines...and WOW.
"You taught me how to love,
    And never how to stop."
That's like...PERFECT. If you ever revise this poem, maybe make it longer with some other kind of rhythm, but KEEP THOSE ENDING LINES and use them as inspiration for the rest of the poem.
