Is there such a thing as darkness?
What is night, if not darkness?
darkness is not a "something" you can see
No, instead, darkness is the absence of something
a something called light...
Is there really such a thing called cold?
no, cold happens in the absence of heat
Heat, that gives us, light, and life...
Does evil exist, unto ones self?
"Of course"; you might say, we see evil every day!
NO, Evil does not exist, at least unto ones self;
Evil, is simply the absence of God.
The absence of light and heat of God.
We feel the cold, and darkness;
we see the evil which seems to take form.
God is light, and light will overcome the darkness...
What is night, if not darkness?

I realize that our beliefs differ greatly but to be able to put one's own belief aside to appreciate that of another, is very selfless and amazing. Thank you for that.

Nice
Very interesting write, i enjoyed it alot.. it made me think. it could be taken in a couple ways i agree, definatly gives pause to thought. -
Hmmm ... I think this is a piece that can be taken in more than one way ...
Religiously, it depicts an account that is true to the New Testament ... very well written in that respect, but also, where there is darkness, God also resides ... In my view in this respect, God created darkness in order to truly see how EACH one of us overcomes it ... it is a creation of his thus it can be overcome ... many cannot, but those that can I think he would see fit to rise beside him when the day comes ... So yes, in my plain view, darkness does envelope all of us and withers the weak. It is all around us ... But to each his own ... heh, good write.
Scientifically, this piece could hold true to the fabric of psychology and how there are still pieces in the brain that we know naught of ... The direct correlation of:
"Darkness is the absence of something a something called light ..."
Could very well be taken into consideration of a mind that hasn't been filled with societies lies and fabrications of how to live ones life. In retrospect ... the darkness is the void, the scientific equivalent of diseases and stress that fills each of our lives and consumes us ... again of course, these diseases are caused by stress and in this respect, God could represent our soul (since we are after all created in his image) and smite the disease with happiness ... true happiness, not the disposition that we think keeps us happy ...
Bleh, I'm rambling ... I'm done for now, good piece, had me thinking in sorts of different ways ... hmmm ...
