Somewhere

Somewhere in the darkest hallways
  In the hidden corners of my heart

The light still tries to bring the day
To make the night shadows depart

Whispers softly spoken in my mind
Reminders of the love now lost

Then the darkness seems much stronger
As my soul still counts the cost

Loneliness has become my friend
As in those shadows where I live

I seem to welcome yet the darkness
To its embrace my soul I give

    You write with a lonely heart my dear friend. I can understand from where your words come.They are full of sadness as you embrace the darkness to be your friend.
