So young and afraid,
it's so hard for kids today.
Pier pressure and styles proceed,
the true life kept from me.
I dream of friends and joy abound,
yet their is only tears and sorrows found.
Lost in a world so unsure you see ,
I have lost my best friend
and my best friend was me.
Just because I want to,
I will turn my life around.
Just because I want to,
I am gonna turn this frown around.
Just because I want to,
bring that friend I know so true.
Just because I want to,
I will embrace that friend within
and find a new muse .
No more locked within my room,
listening to records of gloom and doom.
No more cutting or drugs
for in my new life there is no room.
No more cursing I will trade them
for a hug a loving embrace,
and let that friend within
have a smile on his/her face.
Just because I want to,
my life will be set free.
Just because I want to,
I will help myself see.
That the life I am so living
was brought forth
to please others indeed ,
Just because I want to
today I will please me.

So embrace that friend within .Let that friend be loved and happy for once you find happiness within yourself then nothing and nobody can pull you down . And the world will shine with such muses for you each day .
