I'm not the beautiful one

I'm not the beautiful one
I breath in misery
and exhale pure desperation

I lay my two beauties down to sleep
So innocent, so pure

I've never been the beautiful one
so how am I blessed with such grace?

I watch them inhale, exhale love
Where did they come from?
because my flaws can't produce perfection

They are my angels with invisible wings
so alive, so joyful and untainted
How can they be mine?

I'm falling; I'm not the beautiful one
I'm a dying star, and they are the rising sun.
