On a moon lit night
Predators come out to play
The river glows with light
Acting as a guide
snowy mountain decrease
as the forest widens
there hunger begins to increase
as scent of prey is found
Deer prints in the snow
The scent becomes stronger
Patients they know
though cravings taunt
A doe stands petrified
Fear takes over
She runs still terrified
From fangs nipping at her legs
She knows death has arrived
Exits have diminished
She had once lived and thrived
Now she stands within in a circle of predators
Blood mixed with the light of moon
The hunt is over
The pack knows another comes soon

This piece can be percieved in many ways... the obvious; being animal depicted itself.. the remainder being a fight for humanity...
this stanza really stood out and summed up the piece absolutely lovely....
Blood mixed with the light of moon
The hunt is over

Oh I hope in does
funny story I wrote it one and I think it was better the first time. I posted it but "error" flashed on my screen
so i had to, try to rewrite it by memory.
so note to self write poetry in word first and save.
