Wind rustling her chestnut hair
From coolest winter breeze
She doesn’t see the snowy hills
Or white-washed winter trees
The river flows below her
Singing it’s winter song
Yet her ears don’t register a sound
As its torrent sweeps along
No, she knows not her surroundings
As she swings in solitude
She sees only her hopes and dreams
During this interlude
The quiet calm surrounds her
As she basks in its glow
The serenity of nature
The true confidant she knows
She swings away her sorrows
She confides all her dreams
All her hopes for her tomorrows
She will bequeath while she swings

honestly this poem takes my breath away. It fills me with its calm tenderness and awakes the inner peace in me. I love the rhyme and meter, they are perfect fitting. This poem just fits my personality so well it really connects to me. I adore this. Wonderful stunning work.

Poet
This piece is a beauty. The story unfolds thru your words and the picture. All I can say is... Perfecto.

A beautiful background
for the poem. The picture is worth every word that you use. First impression is I like. Aloneness in thoughts is a solitude I can return to over and over again in many forms of many poets. Picture perfect!
