Games Of Long Ago

Red Rover, Red Rover,
Let Johnny come over
If you can't break through
We get to keep you

Hop Scotch, Hop Scotch
Let's see how far you go
Slide the stone see where it stops
The number will let you know

Ring around the Rosy
A pocketful of posies
Ashes, Ashes,
We all fall down

Hide and go seek
Brought lots of fun
But it took quite awhile
To find everyone

We played some card games
We played with toys
Dolls for the Girls
Toy trucks for the boys

Very enjoyable reminciscence! I enjoyed all of those! Nicely rhymed, enjoyable meter.

I love this poem, it brings back so many memories of being a child. Good rhyme and flow, you can almost hear the children laughing as they play! Good luck in the contest.

ah yes lot's of fun, and hide and go seek could take a real long while. They gave up on finding me one time and all went home without me, lol. I don't know if I like the title, I don't think it was that long ago, lol. I really enjoyed the write, forgot about Red Rover.
Thank you so much for your entry.
    Well done.
